Okay, so this isn't a real post, but I thought I should document today's events for posterity...
The kids all needed baths this morning, so I put Lily and Amanda in the hallway bathroom and Benson in my bathroom. I decided to sit on my bed and do some work on my laptop so I could have a clear view of Benson. So there I was, busying myself with my to-do list, when I spotted a movement from the corner of my eye. I glanced up just in time to see Benson throwing a handful of his own poop out of the bathtub and onto the floor. WHAT?! Well, you can imagine the sight that met my eyes when I ran in to fully survey the situation. Oh, what is more gross than that? Anyway, this necessitated a thorough decontamination for both Benson and the bathtub. Once that was done, I refilled the tub and put Benson back in. Not three minutes later, I heard the sound of water hitting water and looked up to see that Benson was standing up in the tub, doing what he could to "fill 'er up," so to speak. Oh, COME ON!!! At that point, Benson's bathtub privileges were revoked (not sure when or if they'll be reinstated). If someone throws up on me today, the trifecta will be complete. Motherhood ain't for the faint of heart (or stomach)...

Hahahaha I love it. Thanks for making me laugh. There's nothing like cleaning poop out of a bathtub...one of my worst experiences of that nature was when Emma pooped in Grandmom's bathtub. I was a wee bit embarrassed :) It's crazy how big he must be getting! We miss you guys! You're due for a trip to Hawaii, right?
I saw the title was "Ewww..." and I thought, "I hope it's not about poop. The last truly Ewww... story she had was about Lily in the Pack & Play." And then, to my chagrin, the Benson Bath Boondoggle of '09. Dee-sgust-ING. My kids have left presents in the bathtub before, but they've never picked it up by the handful and thrown it like monkeys do. The Motherhood Crown of Glamour goes to you!
Oh...so funny, yet so not. I can remember those days of young kids doing their business in the bathtub. For me, those days are over, luckily...but it's fun reliving them through you. I hope your day went better after that.
Sienna has not only done that number on me once but many O' times! I have gotten so fast at ripping her from the tub, cloroxing the tub and rebathing her. I could be in guiness book of records.
Don't you love being a mom??? Poop in the bathtub...yup, that's what motherhood is all about ladies!
Hilarious. My favorite story of all time was Amanda and the "That's a lot of poop in there"-story. (Referring to the deposit she had just left on her bedroom floor) Good thing I ordered me a baby that will NEVER pull something like that....right??? ;) Love it!
That's a great story...one for the books. I can't wait till he's older and can understand things like this and hear about what he did as a kid. I really hope McKinley doesn't do things like that because I don't know if I would be so nice...
