Okay, so I haven't seen this one before. My sister-in-law Brenda sent it to me, and it's meant to be answered by your kids. Since this one was probably a little beyond Lily's comprehension, and Benson mostly just babbles (and spits a lot in the process), I only asked Amanda for answers. Oh, and I just realized that I failed to copy quesiton #1 (What is something Mom always says to you?) and question #2 (What makes Mom happy?), and the kids are now down for naps. You KNOW I'm not going to wake them up to get the answers, so you'll just have to be satisfied with the remaining 18 questions and answers. So here they are...

3. What makes Mom sad?
When I’m just in trouble.

4. How does Mom make you laugh?
You make up a funny face.

5. What was Mom like as a child?
A little toy whale.

6. How old is your mom?
Um, 6 months.

7. How tall is your mom?
Like, you’re way up to the clouds like a big dinosaur

8. What is your mommy's favorite thing to do?
Paint colors and paint pictures (I'm certain this is a spray-paint reference)

9. What does your mom do when you're not around?
You go and get me.

10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?
It will be for…me!

11. What is your mom really good at?
Doing big jobs for painting. (I KNOW this is a spray-paint reference)

12. What is your mom not very good at?
You’re not very good at putting a big huge pumpkin in your truck.

13. What does your mom do for her job?
Make cookies for my dad’s meeting.

14. What is your mom's favorite food?
Spaghetti noodles

15. What makes you proud of your mom?
When I am really happy at you, I will let Charlie out. Like when you do something you never tried before.

16. If your mom were a cartoon character, which one would she be?
A lady.

17. What do you and your mom do together?
Sometimes we like to play with each other, but sometimes you’re too busy to do it.

18. How are you and your mom the same?
When we just have the same hair and the same eyes.

19. How are you and your mom different?
Like we’re doing right now, like we’re different, like with the colors.

20. How do you know your mom loves you?
She loves me when I do things like a big job. And we do a big grown-up movie like we are going to do.

That is so cute. I did that with Ian a couple months ago. Amanda's answers were hilarious!

Yeah, if you want to feel good about yourself, sometimes asking your 3 year old isn't the best way to go about it. You find out that you are a great big dinosaur all the way up to the sky, but alas, you are still so weak that you are unable to do your own pumpkin-wrangling. I knew Amanda would come through for me (and you) on this tag!

It occurs to me that every single one of my blog posts begins with some sort of statement about how long it's been since my last post. Let's all just pretend that it hasn't been nine months since I put anything on here, hmmm? Here's the real deal. For the last six months or so, I've been keeping up a weekly e-mail correspondence with a group of girls I've been friends with forever (the Ward Girls!). In a way, it's sort of taken the place of my blog updates. I save all the e-mails, and it's formed the most consistent journal I've ever kept. Anyway, here's a quick -- make that real quick -- rundown of the last nine months: Amanda's kindergarten graduation. There was a little program before the kids got their "diplomas." Summer is here!

Looks like my blogging has dwindled to one post each quarter. But they're marathon posts, right? So when we left off, I was about to go on a FABULOUS sister trip to Philadelphia, New York and Washington D.C. I made a photo book documenting the trip; I posted it as a separate entry after this one. Take a look and see what you think! If you can't tell from the photos...it was awesome! My sisters and I have decided that we need to meet up in a major city every few years. Next on the list? New Orleans! So that brings us to Easter! The annual Easter party with Logan's family is a big deal: A pinata for Easter? Why not?! The kids thought it was great! Deviled eggs + bacon + chives = YUM. (Isn't everything better with bacon?) Later, we headed to Grammy and Papa's for the traditional egg coloring. This is serious business... For Max, a pinecone is as good as an egg... How It All Began

Life has been busy around here lately! We've been completely preoccupied with yard projects and the like. I'll post some pictures later (we're not quite done; Logan needs to finish wiring the landscape lights). Anyway, I was talking with some people the other day about courtship stories, etc. I thought I'd share ours for posterity's sake... Logan was born in San Diego but has lived pretty much his whole life in Utah. His very early years were spent in Provo while his dad finished a master's degree at BYU. After that, the family built a house in West Jordan. He enjoyed a pretty typical upbringing (paper routes, bike-riding and scouting -- as you can see). When Logan was 12, his family built a house in Centerville. The stars began to align... Little could Logan have known that only a mile or so away, little Kara Baker was ekeing out her existence.
